Node Registration

Participation in the AIRouter network begins with the deployment and registration of a node. Operators who wish to join the protocol must first stake $AIR tokens as a bond, which promotes honest behavior and penalizes malicious or non-performing nodes. This staking mechanism also adds an economic layer of security to the network, where each participant has a vested interest in maintaining the health and integrity of the system.
Registration is executed through smart contracts on the Sui blockchain, ensuring a trustless, transparent process. Each node is assigned a unique on-chain identity, complete with its operational metadata, performance history, and staking status. This not only increases transparency but also creates a robust reputation system that incentivizes consistent service and discourages downtime or abuse.
